   I think you will need an enamel paint, and the problem with brush strokes they always show. I often use make up sponges and thin the paint down some. But you are going to be painting large areas, So the spray with masking off ares where you do not want the paint, would work better. But make sure you spay at the distance recommended for the paint or you will get runs.
   Plastics are dyed thats why its hard to paint on them and then when they are folded up the paint does not crack in the corners,
   Maybe you should build a doll house that is really great fun!!!!

   If the doll house is in pieces, you can use Krylon Fusion Spray paint. It is specially made to work on plastic & is what I use to repaint plastic doll furniture.
   I tried the Rustoleum & was very disappointed. It didn’t stay for long & I ended up throwing the furniture away & starting over with the Krylon.
   If the house is already put together, you can still use the Fusion, just tape off the pieces you don’t want to paint with blue painter tape. Be sure you are working in a well-ventilated area & do several light coats. Let the pieces completely dry between coats & use a light touch or the paint will drip. Once the paint is completely dry, simply peel off the tape. For small areas, use acrylic paint & a small brush, again, letting each coat dry completely.

   Enamel paint is the way to go. Make sure you wash the piece first and let it dry.
   Rustolium made a plastics paint for outdoor furniture and the like. It comes in spray cans. The color choice is limited but this paint was made to bond with plastic and works very well.
