People do sell off job lots of unwanted Barbies and clothes. Not just things that have been chewed up by kids, either - people who buy and collect dolls to mod and redesign sell and buy them on ebay a lot. We bought all of ours at local auctions and by putting ads in our local papers and on Craigslist offering to buy used Barbies. We did very well on buying used dolls. We went to an auction and bought a footlocker full of all Mattel Barbies dolls and accessories for $10. It had 45 dolls in it and they were well taken care of. Craigslist offers free want ad listings and this works great.
