You should know the plot if you read it. If you didn't google it or go on Wikipedia or sparknotes. These sites will tell you the themes as well. The setting is in the beginning of the play--it's in an apartment around xmas time. Dr. Rank--when you hear someone call a thing "rank" it's usually like a bad smell such as garbage or something. He's sick, got a disease, and dying, so therefore he's "rank" like a corpse. For feminism--the ending? Just a tad bit feminist if you ask me... Like I said, those sites will help you out, you should really read the play, it's a good one and you might learn something. Do your own homework next time.
