26|Dec|2009 1Popsicle sticks mounted to thin cardboard (for support), painted to look like wood, OR collect some twigs from outside and mount them to thin cardboard.
Making a door and window is easy, especially if you cut them out of the the cardboard first and glue the sticks/twigs accordingly.
Make the top lift off so you can see the inside.
Build everything out of something like this: http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?C… , or just more twigs if you have the time. (I guess you could even build the house itself out of that too lol)
use a plastic baggie, cut it to the shape of a window and use twigs, toothpicks or pieces of popsicle sticks to make the “+” shape of the window frame, and the box around it.
I’m not sure how clear i’m making all of this, so if you need me to clearify, send me a message!
Hope this helps =)

26|Dec|2009 2It really doesn’t matter what wood you use. Heck, you don’t even have to use wood. Simply construct a house out of cardboard, and paint it to look like logs/wood. Personally, I wouldn’t really suggest using sticks from outdoors, becuase it will be difficult finding sticks of similar shapes; it will be hard to glue and your house will be crooked.
If your heart is really set on using wood, go to like, home depot or something, and get wooden rods, at least they are the same shape and size. You could buy a bunch of long ones and cut them up to the sizes you need.

26|Dec|2009 3hey thanks for answering my question!
go to michaels craft store and get moss that comes in a bag and you can glue it on your house or ground to make grass or bushes…
-i suggest making the house out of cardboard.. because it will be easy to cut out windows and a door and making all the other stuff plus it will be sturdy and not fall down on you.. or you can try foam board! and you can get that at staples in all different colors!
- go to michaels and browse the isles! you will be able to find so much! you could even get stickers or wooden pictures of bushes or flowers and put them on the side of the house! and they have paper there that has the scenery of a sky with clouds so if you wanted you could glue that on two sides to add more of a touch!
- go to toys r us or go to their website and you can find tables and chairs for your house. http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3162500
- to glue everything together i suggest buying a glue gun… it lasts for basically ever and drys fast! it sticks to everything and is safe to use unlike super glue for your hands!
