I need a major overhaul, and its time to kiss old things goodbye like b books, tapes, old toys, magazines you know all the junk that piles up.
I know I have to drop most of it off at the Goodwill, but where do I store all these doll houses and $%#$

13|Jul|2010 1Go to the Goodwill and drop the stuff off. Buy some bins and sort books here, tapes there, etc..

13|Jul|2010 2Instead of whining about your good fortune, and making aboslutely pointless questions. How about you think about the kids that didn’t get anything for christmas…

13|Jul|2010 4Go to walmart and buy some of those big plastic bins. They also have some that open in the front that stack up so a child can see what’s in it and put stuff back easily. Stuff them and label them. They stack nicely and keep your stuff out of the way.
I learned to keep toys to a minimum or else the kids were just overwhelmed. I suggest putting some of it away and when the kids get bored with what they have to play with swap them out with the other stuff. They will get “new” toys without you having to go buy new stuff.

13|Jul|2010 5Bookshelves work well for doll houses and their parts. You may also want to try the Ikea Epedit shelves which are very good for organizing toys.

14|Jul|2010 6Try asking your friends to see if they can store them. If not, just donate the extra ones to Salvation Army or any shelter.
