I use the 45 degree on my miterbox when I want trim to go around a square corner, but the ends dont always match up. Any hints or suggestions?

Make sure your opening is square, and your trim on both sides are the same length, and your floor is level.

Get a Lazar guided smaller miter saw with the finest blade. Make sure you get the compound miter saw and the one that slides if you can afford it. The real lazier guide is real handy though.

perhaps the blade you are using is not for precision work, my best guess since you are using a miter box already.

i work at a furniture plant and when that happens we fill the cracks with wood putty.
