wow I just finished my banana cane. I think I messed it up a bit though. It doesn’t look too real =( Only when its not cut. The seeds aren’t all in the middle. Oh well! I started out with a little too much clay and used a lot of white/translucent and i’m almost out. bummer..hehe at least I will have LOTS and LOTS of miniature bananas. hehe My future dolls will not go hungry!
wow.. that looks complicated but looks so real and awesome =) and I totally agree with you…You can choose to work with the kids around or not get anything done at all until they go to college. lol My daughter sits with me and crafts all the time when I am crafting. She is becoming a little artist. =)
I’m sure if the clay is in the right colors it will look the same but it is not the same stuff as polymer clay. Any oven will work, it doesn’t have to be used only for polymer clay. Air dry clays should work just fine if you are used to working with them though. Use what works for you! No biggie! Polymer clay may be a little stronger and last longer than a kid clay though.

i was wondering..i went to michael’s store today to look for fimo or polymer clay..but i brought the orginal molding clays for kids instead..will that work? it doesnt have to be put in the oven.. can i use those clay i have, and air dry it or put it in the freezer, cos i don’t have a oven also ?will it work the same as the fimo clay?thanks

25|Aug|2009 12Not really. The transulcent is really the only color that looks like real food. But you could use white instead of the pearlised.
