I would not worry about it, its natural for your son to want to play with his sister, I’m sure she plays with his trucks and cars right.

This does not mean he’s going to be gay…..he’s still little and still curious about EVERYTHING. He more than likely wants to do things that he sees your daughter doing because she is older and younger kids tend to immitate the older ones.

Your son is fine, he is just wanting to be like his sister. Boys play with dolls just as much as girls and there is nothing wrong with it. I played with cars when I was a kid and I am not gay, not that there is anything wrong with it. Sexual tendencies do not come from playing with toys for god sakes.

Let him play. I bought both of my boys baby dolls when they were little. Their father (big, tough, military type) bought our youngest (3 at the time) a Barbie because he asked for one. They have a kitchen set, easy bake oven, and dresses in the dress up box. They also have construction toys, trucks, dinosaurs and other “boy” toys. Variety allows children to develop their interests without pressure to be a certain way. And if your son turns out to be gay…. Well, you’ll still love that beautiful child anyway, right? No one will lose.

Chances are that he just wants some attention from his big sister and playing with her toys with her is how he’s decided to get it (it could be worse he could be hitting her or something). Let him play with the barbies. Tell your neighbour that you prefer to think that instead of putting him on the path to being gay that your putting him on the path to being a caring and sensitive young man…the kind that someday she’ll wish her daughter was bringing home… instead of the macho controlling “a womans place is in the kitchen” type of guy that was only allowed to play with trucks and guns as a small child.
Remember at least they’re playing together and not fighting!

It is fine. I have a 3 yr old son and a 7 yr old daughter. He plays with all of her barbies and other toys too. They just want to be like their older siblings and spend time together. Everyone who says that it turns them gay are dumb. Let him play with them while he is young.

my 18 year old nephew used to play in my sisters’ makeup and she FREAKED. mom told her every child goes thru it. they want to emulate what others do. he’s learning – do you want to hinder that?
now my nephew is a fabulous guitar player (he comes up with incredible sounds and chords – i swear it sounds like angels). he also writes – plays,music,poetry,stories etc.
his father is an artist ( WELL KNOWN ) mother can type 200 wpm with 0 mistakes (i didn’t get those genes) and my nephew is also great with his hands. he also does makeup for his mom, sisters, gramma, aunts, girlfriend – he’s straight.
NO NEED TO WORRY

First of all your neighbor is wrong. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old son. He plays with everything of hers. He loves her princess stuff and also plays dress up. It is totally normally. I am married to a real manly man and he doesn’t have a problem with it either. It is just pretend. Anyway, sounds like your neighbor is a homophobe. He is using your daughter as a role model which at this age isn’t bad. Now if he was 15 and doing this well then I would agree with your neighbor but not at this age. Good luck and let your son be happy.
