This is not a homework question.
We’re reading “A Doll House” in English and I was wondering what everyone else thought.
What do you think of the ending?
Do you guys think another ending was possible?
I think it was the best ending possible. If she had stayed, it would have been futile. Her character would never had grown or learned, or had any enlightenment. The ending is what shocked the audience during the time because it was so groundbreaking, as it should be- I mean, Ibsen is the father of realism.
