   Great! Sounds like fun! See if you can find a carpenter who will build her a good sturdy one that will last her a lifetime. The kits that are pre-made are flimsy and a 5 year old needs something durable so you won’t have to be afraid to let her play with it. Have it made on a 1 inch=12 inch scale, because that’s what most pre-made dollhouse furniture is. You can get wallpaper and other things to decorate it at the local hobby/craft store. Balsa wood (also sold at hobby stores) is easy to work with and can be used for alot of things like flooring, wainscotting, shingles and for making your own furniture. Many found items can be made into accessories, use your imagination and pick up a copy of Miniatures Magazine to give you ideas. Keep it simple for now and as she gets older remodel it as her skills progress. Dollhouses are so much fun! I’m sure she’ll love it!

   check at the local hobby store, like hobby lobby they have a good collection of pre-built and build your own doll houses. Also a large collection of doll house furniture. Its where i get my pieces from.

   Try “Ryans Room” they make a wooden doll house called “home is where the heart is” also try “Melissa and Doug”

   .Go to Barbie.com, and then when you get there, click on wish-list at the top of the screen. I’m not sure if you can buy stuff or not, but if you cant there’s always eBay. Good luck. And have a merry Christmas!!!!
