Nora thinks that Torvald will nobly offer to take responsibility for the guilt himself. Instead, he is outraged and storms out of his study, calling her a criminal and accusing her of poisoning their home and their children.
Nora now sees Torvald for who he really is and decides to leave him so that she can find herself.
